Curriculum vitae

Álvaro García Garcinuño holds a bachelor's degree in English Philology and a Master's degree in Education with a focus on language teaching, both from the University of Salamanca. He graduated from the Graduate Program in Translation at the Río Piedras Campus, where he also gained experience as a translator for several years at its Translation and Research Center. In 2017, he received the Dr. Samuel R. Quiñones 2017 Award, granted by the Puerto Rican Academy of the Spanish Language.

Currently, he is completing his research in the field of Translation and Intercultural Mediation as part of his doctoral studies in Social Sciences at the University of Salamanca. He is a co-founder of the Puerto Rican Association of Translators and Interpreters (APTI) and the Cooperative of Translators of Puerto Rico (TraduCoop).
