This page contains information for current students at the PGT:

Students registered in the Comprehensive Exam

If you are registered in the Comprehensive Exams course, you will find practice tests under the corresponding course in Moodle.

Students registered in the thesis course

When you register in the thesis course for the first time, you have to submit your Thesis Proposal by the end of the fifth week of the semester. For each semester that you are registered in your thesis course you must submit your Thesis Progress Report for Student (in Spanish) by the end of the semester. Your advisor is also required to submit the Thesis Progress Report for Advisor (in Spanish) every semester. Once you have completed the form, please send it to your thesis advisor via e-mail.

About the defense

When you are ready to defend your thesis, you must complete the Solicitud de defensa de tesis (only in Spanish) using Acrobat and send it via e-mail to our secretary. On the day of your defense, please submit the following:

  • Two blank CDs
  • An original copy of the thesis cover page, signed by you and by your advisor

After your defense, the committee will advise you on any changes to be included in the final version of your thesis. Remember that you must submit a final version (bound paper and electronic versions, plus CDs and the signed cover page) of your thesis no later than one calendar month after the date of the defense.

After you finish revising your thesis, send us the final electronic copy via e-mail in PDF format to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We will merge the signed cover page with your signature to this PDF and send you back a copy. We will also burn the two CD copies and catalogue them for use in our reading room and at our faculty's Seminario José Emilio González. The bound paper copy should be handed in to our secretary. This will be sent to the Colección Puertorriqueña at the José M. Lázaro Library.

Your graduation paperwork will not be processed until you have fulfilled these requirements. There are other requirements which may also apply and affect your graduation. You are responsible for ensuring that you comply with all of these requirements.

You need to have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to be able to fill out and save all PDF forms. Previous versions won't allow this, but newer versions will. Download the most current version at the following link:
