On Friday, August 12, 2022, Lorna Pagán Mattos, defended her thesis titled Why Cities Weep (a translation of five chapters of "Por qué lloran las ciudades"), a translation from Spanish into English of Por qué lloran las ciudades by Elisa Levi.
The Thesis Committee, formed by Aurora Lauzardo Ugarte, Ph. D., Maritza Stanchich, Ph. D., and thesis advisor David Auerbach, Ph. D., awarded her thesis the grade sobresaliente.
