On May 4, 2017, Pamela Arroyo Reyes, defended her thesis titled Fifth Centenary of the Taíno Rebellion 1511-2011, a translation from Spanish into English of 5.º centenario de la rebelión taína by the Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña.
